Jodhpuri
$699.00
Every wardrobe of ceremony needs one piece that does not negotiate, and for men, that piece is the Jodhpuri. Ours is tailored in pure raw silk in a warm beige, then hand-embroidered with zardozi work, the centuries-old metallic-thread technique once reserved for royal courts, where each raised motif is built up by hand with couched gold-toned thread.
A jodhpuri suit, sometimes called a bandhgala, is the most forgiving formalwear a man can own: structured through the shoulder, closed at the collar, flattering on nearly every build. This one is intended for grooms, brothers of grooms, and wedding guests who understand that a black tuxedo is not the only definition of formal. Wear it to a reception, an engagement, a Diwali evening that calls for more than a kurta.
The beige base keeps the zardozi legible rather than loud, so the craftsmanship reads clearly across a room. Pair with dark trousers, a pocket square if you like, and nothing else; the embroidery is the accessory.
Each Jodhpuri is made to order and handcrafted by artisans in India over 4 to 6 weeks. Measure well, order early, and it will outlast every trend it attends.
